SIFE is the largest international non-profit organisation. Present in 40 countries, it supports students from over 1500 universities. It is an initiative which brings together today’s leaders in business and higher education and future leaders – talented and active students. The three groups aim at promoting entrepreneurship and activation in selected environments. To this end, every day SIFE student teams carry out educational projects around the world with the support of faculty advisors and business consultants. Driven by ethics, they search for business solutions and market mechanisms to permanently and effectively improve the quality of life for local communities. The point of departure for SIFE projects is to transfer the knowledge, attitudes and skills which are useful in a free market economy. Project themes include financial management or ethical business conduct. Every year, all countries where SIFE projects are carried out, organise regional and/or national competitions which provide a forum for students to present their project results. The programmes are evaluated by a carefully selected jury, with managers and executives from leading companies serving as judges.
